Theres some brisk NE lakeshore winds that will make for some rough seas and cool and probably dirty water color. Canal feed should be continued there so if we find out any intel for that we will pass along. A good day might be a couple of hookups with a steelhead thrown in. Stay tuned though for any future high water that could really perk things up. New migrations of fresh fish could come anytime during this part of the season with good flows or especially with any bump up in trib flows. With cool water temperatures, rig depths of 30 to 80 ft down are getting Troutman 2 anglers kings coho and some whopper lake trout! They scored 4 king salmon (17-20 lbs) and a trophy sized steelhead weighing in at 16 lbs. (Deadline for the Open was Monday, 6/7). Capt. Flows in the other tribs bracketing east and west look like they are back up some. Classic scenario in the Oak where dirty water color lags behind the highest flows. Those waterways do seem to be slowly back on the retreat. Temps are forecast on a slow warmup over the next few days thru mid and end next week with another chance at precip later next week. Theres no new real cold temps in the near forecast and if even this rain doesnt open the smaller area tribs right away by this weekend or next week they likely will be thanks to a continued warm-ish weather forecast.
